A geoscience teacher, Suzy Urbaniak, was a recent PM’s Science Prize winner. There are surely other great teachers out there. With support from one of the big banks, there is currently an opportunity open for teachers to apply for a $45k award to support professional development and for a specific teaching initiative. Teachers may also be nominated.
