COVID 19 Important Announcement

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and beyond is evolving rapidly. The latest recommendations from Government Chief Medical Officers and the latest travel and community contact restrictions and guidance that have been announced in recent days by the Prime Minister require our ASEG Federal and State leadership to act with an abundance of caution and care for our Members and each other.

The ASEG Federal Executive will now host AGM 2020 on 7 April as an online meeting using the Zoom video conferencing platform. Our Executive sees this as an opportunity in our 50th year to open the Annual General Meeting to a wider group of our Membership.

We encourage financial members to register for the AGM 2020 Zoom teleconference by emailing the ASEG Secretariat (secretary@aseg.org.au) by no later than 2 April.

The ASEG Secretariat services to Members and the day to day responsibilities of the Federal and State Branch Executives will continue through work-from-home protocols with usual communication during business hours via phone, email, and post.

The ASEG is actively moving to reorganise the forward program of State Branch hosted Monthly Technical Meetings and a number of SEG-hosted Distinguished Lectures via online teleconferencing. More information will be available, in emails and our upcoming e-Newsletters. Unfortunately, ASEG scheduled social events are now cancelled until further notice.
