QLD Branch - student Bursaries

The QLD branch of ASEG will offer several bursaries to Queensland university students or graduates less than 1 year out of university to attend large ASEG conferences. As Brisbane is hosting the AEGC, the bursaries will be offered first and foremost to regional QLD  students this year. Bursaries of up to $500 to spend on registration, workshops, travel, or accommodation will be available.

The following conditions will be used to grade applications.

  • Preference will be given to students doing honours or post graduate courses in geophysics.
  • Recent graduates not yet in employment will be considered.
  • You need the support of your geoscience lecturer.
  • You must be a member of the ASEG – signing up is free for students and new applicants welcome.
  • Attendance at the GeoPitch presentation (fast-paced 3-minute presentations)

Apply by emailing the Qld branch (qldsecretary@aseg.org.au) answering the above and stating who you are, what you're studying and why you wish to attend. Applications close 13th February. Candidates will be notified shortly after.
