EAGE Announcement

We are all currently living through something most of us did not imagine going through. But needless to say, EAGE and the Local Advisory Committee are constantly monitoring how the situation evolves and for now there is no change in the planning for the Near Surface Geoscience Conference & Exhibition 2020. 

We are still working hard on preparing the technical programmes for the three parallel conferences. We have now added another Special Session: Geophysics and Geosciences as a Tool of Biomedicine (Influence of Environment on Human Health). During the last two months, the whole world became aware of the unfair attitude to all scientists, particularly medical doctors, but also to all from other disciplines with touch points to human health. Our opinion is that NSG2020, particularly as the first EAGE Conference & Exhibition after total isolation, can serve as the best focus point for the geophysical/geological community, but also for the medical doctors and decision-makers that take into account the importance of close cooperation in further development of medical geology. 

With everything that is happening in the world now, the Call for Abstracts submission deadline has now been extended to the end of May (31st May), so that everyone interested in joining this innovative conference can have enough time to submit a paper. If you would like to already secure your ticket for the conference, the Early Bird registration deadline is 22 July.
