We're excited to announce the 27th of October is a busy double-header night!

The ASEG Awards were held virtually at the AEGC 2021, but the Queensland Committee would like to take the opportunity to congratulate our award winners in person. Gap Geophysics are proud to be sponsoring an in-person ASEG Service Awards Ceremony combined with our annual ASEG/PESA Trivia night. Henk van Paridon will again host the Trivia, meaning it will be an exciting and entertaining night - last year's winning team only won by one point!

ASEG is pleased to announce its collaboration with SEG for the highly anticipated Geophysics in Geothermal Energy – Today and Tomorrow workshop is up on our website. Be a part of this highly-anticipated virtual event that will be taking place from 12–14 October. This provides us the opportunity to provide all ASEG Members to ATTEND virtually with an interactive an immersive experience and the ability to connect with like-minded individuals from across the globe.

Our technical committee has created a special workshop that branches out into specific topics that run parallel to each other, thus attendees can curate and choose the session they would like to view. A recording will also be available within 24 hours for attendees to re-watch any session they have missed, thus providing an enriching and wholesome experience throughout the workshop. We encourage anyone involved in geoscience or geothermal resource exploration to join in on this informative conversation: seismic processers, petrophysicists, rock physicists, geologists, geophysicists, geomechanicists and reservoir engineers.

Joint annual PESA - ASEG - SPE Summer Social Event

We have re-scheduled our summer social to next Wednesday, 24th February.  Please join us for a riverside evening at Common Man at South Wharf for drinks and nibbles to help kick off 2021. We will be in an outdoor area in our own section of the venue. This event is for members only so please ensure you renew your membership for 2021 before registering.

The WA Branch of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists invites you to attend our upcoming ASEG WA Branch triple combination 50th Anniversary Celebration, AGM, and Christmas Party at a special venue, the Bright Tank Brewery Pub in East Perth.

As per usual, the AGM will commence the event, - at 530pm and the 2021 WA committee will be voted in.

We are also looking for interested members to nominate to our 2021 committee to be voted on at the AGM. Please send your nominations to either the wasecretary@aseg.org.au or wapresident@aseg.org.au. All nominations for the committee must be received by 16th December.

The 50th Anniversary party will follow immediately after the AGM. Drink tokens, food, and seating will be provided. In addition, every member attendee will receive a special item designed to commemorate the 50 years of our close-knit geophysical community here in WA. 
REGISTRATION and RSVP is REQUIRED two weeks in advance to give our hosts at Bright Tank enough time to properly set up their venue.
