Join us for the launch of a new social get-together for the Brisbane geoscience community! Brisbane Brews is a low-key, pay-your-own way, brewery hopping social catchup. Our inaugural sojourn is at Sea Leg Brewing from 5pm onwards on the 8th of April. Join geos and geophysicists from across minerals and energy sectors in discovering locally made brews from venues tucked away around Brisbane. The WA Branch of the ASEG would like to invite members and their families to a social afternoon in honour of our local legends of the industry. 

The History Committee of the ASEG will be recording the life experiences of our older & retired members, using a video/interview format.  These oral histories will be preserved and form part of the ASEG recorded history for the benefit of future generations of geophysicists.
The invitation is extended to all members to join the event to celebrate the careers of our geophysical Legends.
It will be a relaxed social afternoon with food and drink provided free by the ASEG.  A perfect chance to catch up with industry colleagues and meet with current and past geophysical luminaries.

When: Saturday 29th January 2022
Time: 4pm – 8pm

The venue is a rural property so please wear casual attire and sturdy footwear. The property has natural hazards such as bushland, animals, farm machinery – so children will require parental supervision whilst at the event.
 
BBQ food and beverages (beer/wine/soft drink) will be provided by the ASEG. REGISTRATION and RSVP are REQUIRED before Jan  24th. Please reserve your place at this event so we can cater for you and your family. Numbers are strictly limited, and registrations close on Jan 24th so please get in early to book your place.
Address and how-to-get-there will be provided to all attendees when they reserve tickets via the Eventbrite system.
