Oral History Interviews

The first oral history interview has now been completed. Bob Smith and Joe Cucuzza interviewed Lindsay Thomas on March 25, 2020. The interview aimed to record some of Lindsay’s recollections as a geophysicist and his observations of developments in geophysics during his working life.

The second oral history is presented below. Phil Harman was interviewed by Tom Whiting and Andrew Mutton on May 17, 2021. The interview aimed to record some of Phil’s recollections as a geophysicist and his observations of developments in geophysics during his working life.

The third oral history is presented below. Ken McCracken was interviewed by Bob Smith and Joe Cucuzza on July 21, 2022. The interview objective was to record Ken’s life and career with particular emphasis on his contribution to, and perspective on, developments in exploration geophysics during his lifetime.

The fourth oral history is presented below. Ted Tyne was interviewed by Marina Costello in January, 2023. The interview records some of his recollections as a geophysicist and his observations of developments in geophysics and leadership during his career.
