Method: Time domain electromagnetics

Two examples of the MPPO-1 TEM prospecting system. The main settings on the receiver (the larger unit) are selection of transient decay time ranging from 1 ms to 15 ms, amplification, and two settings of noise damping. The transmitter (the smaller unit) sends 20-ms wide rectangular pulses at the rate of 18 Hz into the combined transmitter/receiver loop.

The image on the left shows the BMR's system while the image on the right shows WMC's system, modified with a larger battery pack to provide higher current.
