Abstract: The Ordovician Macquarie Arc is the host of world-class Cu-Au mineralisation. But what lies beneath: sea-floor, thinned continent, or an older arc? Long-wavelength magnetic, gravity, MT and seismic features are the key to reconciling tectonic models, geochemistry, and geochronology of the arc.
