On Thursday April 28 Mark Dransfield presented on airborne gravity/gravity gradiometry and its inclusion in the 2019 National Gravity Grid, andMark Dransfield presenting to the ACT Branch online.discussed how Geoscience Australias method is one way to combine ground gravity, AG/AGG, and satellite gravity. Mark then showed other methods for combining the three datasets and discussed some of the pros and cons associated with each method.On Thursday May 5 Audrey Addison presented her stories of misadventures in industry as a mathematician. She took us through her journey between Oil & Gas, Industrial Engineering, and Tech, and concluded with lessons learnt along the way. Highlights include flying in a C130 while refuelling a helicopter and, despite the range of adventures, how translatable her skills were.
