The first issue of Exploration Geophysics for 2019 (Volume 50 Part 1) has now been published, with a range of papers to tweak your interest from rock physics models to 3D magnetotelluric imaging to appraisal of a buried DAS system. While you are absorbing those papers, do not forget to browse the list of recent on-line early papers.

A reminder that the latest (February) issue of Preview can be found online at https://www.aseg.org.au/publications/PVCurrent. In addition to the usual news and commentary, this issue features an article by Roger Henderson on "The second lecturer in exploration geophysics in Australia - later to become Surveyor General of India".
The next (April) issue of Preview will be available online in early April. This issue will feature an article by Brian Kennett, Richard Chopping and Richard Blewett introducing their recently released book The Australian continent: A geophysical synthesis.
Proposed contributions for future issues can be submitted by email to the editor at previeweditor@aseg.org.au.

- What is your current role?
Exploration Geologist for Newmont Australia
- What role has geophysics played in your career so far as a geologist?
Quite a lot to be honest. It has helped me and our exploration team develop new targets and vector to mineralisation especially in Kalgoorlie and the Tanami region. Also, assisting fellow geologists in understanding how to interpret the data and the value of geophysics and petrophysics in mineral exploration.
- What do you like most about being a geophysicist?
Being out in the field, collecting geophysical data and making the most of the surreal Australian landscape.
- Your most respected geophysicist?
Dr Mark Lackie
- What's your most treasured textbook?
Geophysics for the Mineral Exploration Geologist by Mike Dentith and Stephen Mudge
- What is the biggest challenge that you have had to overcome in your career?
Moving to Kalgoorlie, WA to live and work in mid 2015 just to get a start in the mining industry. Haven't looked back ever since!
