A Geophysicist in Antarctica
Wayne (Staz) Stasinowsky (Manager Geophysical Research - Encom Technology)
Abstract:
Earlier this year, Staz went on a 10 day cruise of the Antarctic Peninsula, including kayaking amidst ice,
penguins and seals. Staz has volunteered to give a presentation of his adventures and also has promised to
include the odd photo of geology and geophysical instruments used at a visited Ukrainian research base.
This is an invitation to geophysics students to come along to the next meeting of the ASEG to meet industry geophysicists and
find out what the ASEG is all about.
It is also an invitation for ASEG members to come along to talk to students and to hear a novel talk
which will be more social than technical.
